- The course of the Himalayan run takes competitors across a wide variety of terrains and includes approximately 3,636 m (11,930 ft) of ascents and descents over the 4-day race.
- Starting at above 2,134 m (7000 ft) at Maneybanjang, the race ascends over the first two stages to the beautiful mountain top at Sandakphu at an elevation of 3,636 m (11,930 ft) From Sandakphu the competitors will get the beautiful views of the Kanchenjunga range and all the tall peaks in the world, Makalu, Lhotse and the great Mt. Everest. From Sandakphu, the race descends over the next two stages and ends in the quaint town of Rimbik at an elevation of 2,286 m (7500 ft).
- Competitors will tackle cobblestones, gravel, loose rocks, hard packed earth and even semi-paved paths during the event. This is in addition to the infamous 65 degrees steep incline even the most serious of runners find nearly impossible to walk, let alone run.
- Our concept is to have enough support crew so that every participant runs at their pace and enjoys the run, soaks up the Himalayan air and gets enough of the ‘eye candy’ to relish and ‘etch’ the Himalayan beauty permanently in their memory banks and takes however long one wants to as long as everyone reaches the end of the stage by sunset. Support will be to provide the course path, water and any other exceptions that may happen during the run. End of the day when everyone reaches the lodge aka Tea House, the runners will get to relax, chat up, socialize and enjoy the meal put together by the sweet and loving Nepali hosts.
